It Has been provided on the sector-08. The sewage treatment plan is 15 Million Litres per day and the sewage treatment technology is based on sequencing batch reactor commonly known as SBR technology.
The Plot in Sector 2 measuring 5677.3 sq mtrs having plot No. 1/S-04 (Substation and Waste Management Plot). has been earmarked for solid waste management. The method of waste handling is threefold, source segregation, extended user responsibility and collection or transportation in accordance with the set parameters.
Rain water harvesting pits are provided on the parks. The size of the pit is determined by the catchment area of the park and also on the size of the park. The minimum size of the pit is depth of 3-4 mtrs, width 2 mtrs and water filteration media would be gravel, sand and boulders. The bottom layer is boulders and pebbles of 5-20 cm, middle layer is coarse gravel of 5-10 mm and top layer is coarse sand of 1.5-2 mm.
